This is our 6 night/8 day trip based on double occupancy. Select departure dates on Thursday’s and Friday’s, January thru November. These flights originate from Los Angeles and we have discount add on air fares from most US cities. Packages at these rates are very limited and prices subject to change until deposited and confirmed. Non group bookings are accepted based on double occupancy. Certain minimums may apply. Tian’anmen Square, located in the capital of Beijing, is one of the largest squares in the world.

Day 1 

Arrive Beijing. Meet and transfer to The Rainbow hotel or similar 3 star hotel.

Day 2 (B/L/D)**

Then your off with a full day private car tour. Visit Tian’anmen Square which is located in the heart of Beijing, Forbidden City also known as The Imperial Palace, which has been off limits to the public for over 500 years until opened in 1949. Next a quick visit to the complex of buildings that make up the Temple of Heaven where the emperors went to worship and pray for better harvests. Then spend the rest of the afternoon at one of the top vocational schools, including a cooking demonstration and cultural experience exchange with the local students.

 

3-star rated hotel such as The Rainbow. Hotels will offer amenities and services similar to U.S. standards.

 


Forbidden City was closed to the public for over 500 years. Explore the maze of buildings that are the best-preserved cluster of ancient buildings in China.

Day 3 (B/L/D)**

Enjoy another full day private car tour. Today visit The Great Wall, don’t expect to see this all in one day. It is over 1500 miles long! Next the Ming Tombs where there are 13 imperial tombs on the Ming Dynasty. On to the famous Silk Alley. Find one of the discounted brand name products. How about a North Face Jacket for $20!

   

The Great Wall is awesome. It stretches over 1500 miles, over hills, and down valleys.


  

The Ming Tombs includes 13 imperial tombs of the Ming Dynasty scattered over 15.5 square miles. Take time to visit the only tomb that has been excavated so far.

Day 4 (B/L/D)**

The best way to start your China trip is joining the locals to do the morning exercise. Next a quick visit to the complex of buildings that make up the Temple of Heaven where the emperors went to worship and pray for better harvests. Transfer to airport and depart for Shanghai. Visit a neighborhood hospital to learn the methods of Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Encounter everyday life as your group join a local family learning the art of Chinese cooking as you help to prepare dinner, dine with the family and learn a touch of Chinese family culture. After dinner take a pleasant evening drive to Suzhou. Known as the "Venice" of the East, named by early travelers because the town was built around a network of canals. The natural beauty of the 60 classical gardens &  famous silk Industry has inspired the Chinese to name this "Paradise on Earth".

Temple of Heaven Park covering 675 acres, is a complex of buildings. Watch morning exercisers in courts.


The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum is claimed as the eighth wonder of the world. There are approx. 6,000 life-size pottery warriors and horses buried with the dead emperor.

Day 5 (B/L/D)**

Tour of Tiger Hill Park which is known as the "No. 1 Scenic Place in the State of Wu". The pagoda here was built in 961 and has begun to slant 7.7 feet from its axial line. Every year the park is a venue of a flower show and temple fair with a distinct local style. Then you are on to The Humble Administrator's Garden, also known as Suzhou Garden, this museum will assist in understanding China's History. This site was listed on the World Cultural Heritage's list of sites. The Garden covers nearly 13 square acres making it one of the largest of all classical gardens in Suzhou. Next you will go on to the Suzhou Embroidery Institute to view the famous embroidery styles, including the world famous Double Face Embroidery.  Then you will take an evening coach to Hangzhou the capital of Zhejiang. Hangzhou was viewed by Marco Polo as one of the most impressive.

Humble Administrator's Garden first laid out in 1508 AD. The garden covers nearly 13 square acres, making it one of the largest of all classical gardens in Suzhou.


       

West Lake lies west of the city. It is skirted by Mountains on three sides, with the fourth bordering the large urban district.

Day 6 (B/L/D)**

Bicycling around West Lake, with the most enchanting ponds, kiosks, chambers and pavilions. Next  on to the Six Harmonies Pagoda which has a 197 foot high vantage point for viewing the scenic Qiantang River. Then visit Hangzhou's famous Tea Plantation and note the essentials for your good health discovered by the Chinese thousands of years ago. You will also learn about the daily life of a farmer. Return to Shanghai by coach.

 

Built in 970 and has a tremendous viewing station, with 8 facets and 7 stories of brick and wood, is a masterpiece of classical Chinese architecture.


The Bund has the Wusong River on the east side of the avenue. There are 52 high-rises on the west side. including the 3rd tallest TV tower in the world, Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

Day 7 (B/L)**

Full day private coach tour to Pudong area (New Shanghai), The Bund. The Bund is the former "Wall Street" of the foreign powers. The name itself reflects those colonial days. On the west side of the Bund, people hurry along, darting in and out of office buildings. While the river side is used for strolling and recreation. Then on to Old Shanghai, where there are wonderful gardens, the City God Temple and the Yuyuan Bazaar. The architectures still remain as classic and elegant-looking as ever. Great place for last minute shopping. If you still haven't bought all the treasures you need, a visit to Nanjing Lu Road will help you. There are over 400 shops along this street of every imaginable kind. Then depart for airport and flight to the U S A.

Yuyan Garden is the only fully restored classical Chinese garden in Shanghai. First built in 1559.
